Robertson, who has one year left on his contract, said last week that he hadn't given his future much thought, choosing instead to focus on enjoying a well-earned holiday after another long and successful season—one that saw him win the Premier League for the second time.

However, with the transfer window set to open in a few days, the Anfield stalwart and Scotland captain faces uncertainty over his club future for the first time in eight years.

Liverpool are keen to retain Robertson and are instead prepared to allow current back-up Kostas Tsimikas to leave. Nonetheless, they acknowledge that the 31-year-old Scot may be considering a move in search of more regular football.

Robertson joined Liverpool in 2017 for £8 million and has since enjoyed a highly decorated spell on Merseyside. During his time at the club, he has won two Premier League titles, two League Cups, one Champions League title, one FA Cup, one FIFA Club World Cup, and one UEFA Super Cup.

In 342 appearances, Robertson has provided 67 assists and scored 11 goals.
