Crawley town fall to defeat against 21st placed Salford
Crawley Town fell to defeat against 21st place Salford as Corey Addai kept the scoreline at a respectable amount. The final score could have been higher but thanks to the shot stopper it was only 1-0 to the visitors.
It was only a matter of time before Salford would score with Kelly Nmai finding the back of the net after a mistake by Jay Williams. Corey Addai saved the first effort from Callum Hendry but could not recover in time to keep out the second attempt.
With the amount of efforts Corey Addai faced one of them had to find the back of the net. The goalkeeper did well to keep the score at only 1-0 as the Reds fall to defeat against Salford.
Crawley Town made only one change from the side that won at Bradford last week as Harry Ransom replaced the suspended Laurence Maguire. New signing Ryan Sandford was forced to miss the game due to illness which meant that Crawley had only one goalkeeper in their squad.
Salford City started the livelier of the two as Crawley struggled to get a foot in the game within the first 15 minutes. Luke Bolton caused utter chaos for the home side as he breezed past Harry Ransom to get a low shot at goal which was saved well by Corey Addai. Crawley's first dangerous effort came in the 15th minute when Dion Conroy curled his shot past the wrong side of the post.
With Crawley and their fans outraged that a foul had not been given on Danilo Orsi, Bolton broke free down the right hand side which caused Addai to come off his line which left the winger with no other option than to lob the keeper. Luckily for the Reds, the crossbar came to their rescue and they were spared once again.
Adam Campbell managed to slide in Nick Tsaroulla on the left hand side with a smart ball. The left back played a low cross into the box for Orsi who reaches it and hits the post before the referee raised the flag for offside.
Orsi brilliantly touched the ball down and found Kelly. Kelly, Roles and Campbell all linked up with one touch football which bamboozled the Salford defence before Campbell dragged his shot wide.
Jack Roles attempted to ignite a flame in his side as he charged forward with the ball before knocking it wide to Tsaroulla. He plays the ball into a dangerous position in the box but there wasn't any Crawley players in the box to meet it.
Corey Addai who kept Crawley in the game in the first half did it once again with a great save to deny Bolton from an almost certain goal. The winger was through on goal but couldn't find a way past the keeper.
However it was only a matter of time before Salford would score with Kelly Nmai finding the back of the net after a mistake by Jay Williams. Corey Addai saved the first effort from Callum Hendry but could not recover in time to keep out the second attempt.
Orsi was kept quiet all game with his only dangerous chance at goal coming in the 87th minute when it flew past the outside of the far post.
