Liverpool handed Davies a new long-term contract before sanctioning his move to Broadfield, preserving his value ahead of a potential return next summer.

Davies has been praised for his calm presence between the sticks and is well-renowned for his ability to play out from the back, along with his exceptional shot-stopping capabilities.

It's an area where Crawley manager Scott Lindsey will be hoping for a bit of stability, after using nine different goalkeepers last term.

The 21-year-old acted as Liverpool's fourth-choice goalkeeper last season and was included in seven matchday squads. Due to regularly training with Arne Slot's first-team squad, the shot-stopper earned himself a Premier League medal, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Davies comes with prior League Two experience, having played for Crewe Alexandra 32 times in all competitions throughout the 2023/24 campaign, keeping eight clean sheets.

Speaking to the Crawley Town website, Davies said: "I am really happy to be here. I had some great conversations with people at the club and they made me feel wanted and welcomed me in.

"I had a really good chat with the manager, who presented really well to me and said that he wanted me, so it made the decision very easy."
