The 29-year-old has played 83 times for the club since joining in the summer of 2022 from Swindon Town and became the first player to lead the Reds out at Wembley when he captained them to victory in the League Two play-off final last year.
"I am really pleased to get this over the line and buzzing to get it sorted so early," Conroy told the club website.
"I'm really looking forward to the season, as I think it could be a good one. Scott [Lindsey] is a massive reason why I signed here.
"What we achieved a couple of years ago was largely down to him, so I am looking forward to another season with him."
Last season, the defender made 21 appearances in League One, keeping three clean sheets, including one against champions Birmingham City. The majority of his appearances came in the second half of the season, after recovering from a long-term injury at the start of the campaign.
