Goal of the Week Countdown: League Two’s Finest Finishes

Matchweek three in League Two had it all: goals, drama, and a thumping 5–0 statement win for MK Dons over Cheltenham. At the top, Crewe and Chesterfield are setting the early pace, while Crawley, Barnet, and Bristol Rovers are still searching for their first points of the campaign. 🥉 3rd Place: Stephen Duke-McKenna (Harrogate) vs Cambridge United

Harrogate's number 11 takes the bronze with a brilliantly composed volley from just inside the box. Lewis Cass delivers a perfectly weighted ball from the right, and Duke-McKenna meets it first time, guiding it into the bottom corner. What makes it special is the way he shrugs off Liam Bennett's pressure and keeps his focus to finish the move superbly. A classy strike and a deserved place on this week's podium.

🥈 2nd Place: Alex Gilbey (Mansfield Town) vs Cheltenham

Taking second spot is Alex Gilbey with a stunning effort from the edge of the area. After a clever layoff from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Gilbey meets it first time and curls a clinical strike beyond the keeper, who had no chance. A goal that oozed confidence and quality from distance.

🥇 1st Place: Tommi O'Reilly (Crewe Alexandra) vs Crawley Town

This week's top spot belongs to Tommi O'Reilly and what a finish it was. The move starts from a booming goal kick by Tom Booth, met superbly by Josh March who flicks it into O'Reilly's path. The 21-year-old Aston Villa loanee shows real class with his first touch, creating space between two defenders before calmly slotting past Harvey Davies into the bottom corner. Composed, confident, and clinical, this goal had everything.
