A statement made by the club said: "We'd like to thank Laurence for his hard work and determination during his loan spell, which ultimately resulted in promotion at Wembley Stadium."
The defender has now agreed a deal to sign for MK Dons who were beaten 8-1 on aggregate in the semi-final of the playoffs by Crawley. This comes after he was released by Chesterfield who were promoted to League Two after winning the National League.
Similarly to Crawley, MK Dons tend to play with a back three so this will work well for the younger brother of Harry Maguire.
Maguire took to X to thank the Crawley fans for his time at the club. He said: "well I don't really know where to start, from the day I signed to the playoff final at Wembley, you fans have been unbelievable.I can't thank you enough for the support over the last 10 months.
"Sadly my Future won't be at Crawley."
"The staff are a credit to your football club, the best group of people I've had the pleasure of working with. The lads, what a bunch of players. Made friends for life and I wish them all the best for next season.
"Finally, the gaffer. I can't thank this man enough for what he has done for me on and off the pitch. I have learnt so much from watching and listening to him and his influence will stay with me throughout my career.
"Thanks, Loz x."
