The Hungary international will join forces with his national teammate Dominik Szoboszlai at Anfield.
Kerkez spent two seasons on the south coast after joining Bournemouth in the summer of 2023—when Liverpool's sporting director, Richard Hughes, was working at the club.
During his tenure, he made 69 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and providing six assists.
His anticipated arrival leaves the futures of Andy Robertson—who has been linked with Atlético Madrid—and Kostas Tsimikas uncertain.
Bournemouth have already moved quickly to replace Kerkez, securing Adrien Truffert from Rennes earlier this week.
Kerkez is expected to become Liverpool's third signing of the transfer window, following confirmed deals for Bayer Leverkusen duo Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz.
