Diogo Jota scored two second half goals and assisted Darwin Nunez as Liverpool ran riot in their 4-0 win versus Bournemouth. Nunez scored the first and last goal of the game with Jota also scoring a brace to see Liverpool comfortably win away from home and go five points clear at the top of the table.

Liverpool managed 11 touches in the Bournemouth box in the first half without causing any problems for the home side's defence. the half saw seven shots at goal from both sides with both Alisson and Neto dealing with these chances comfortably. The biggest challenge for the referee came when Justin Kluivert caught  Luis Diaz high up on the Colombian's leg which was not given as a foul.

However, after the 15 minute interval, Liverpool came out the brighter for the second half as Darwin Nunez opened the scoring 4 minutes into the second half. A lovely passed move ended with Diogo Jota who having found space on the right hand side played in Nunez who's first time finish found the back of the net.

Jota who assisted the first goal added Liverpool's second and third with two good finishes. He smashed his first goal into the bottom right hand corner after a delicate pass from Cody Gakpo which left Neto with no chance of saving it. The Portuguese's second goal came just nine minutes later when Conor Bradley found Jota with a low cross and after a wild first swing at the ball which he mistimed the forward made no mistake finding the bottom corner with his second attempt.

Nunez added to his tally as he directed his shot past Neto in the 93rd minute after Joe Gomez found the Uruguayan with a well weighted delivery.

Bournemouth did well to Keep Liverpool quiet in the first half but they could not replicate it for the second 45 minutes. David Brooks could have got one back in the last few minutes but his chipped shot went past both Alisson and the post.
