Tosin Adarabioyo joins Cheslea FC on a free transfer

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer after his contract expired at Premier League side Fulham. 

The 26 year old has signed a four year deal with the Blues and is Enzo Maresca's first signing.

Adarabioyo played a crucial role in getting Fulham back into the Premier League in the 2021/22 season and picked up 41 appearances as well as scoring two goals and assisting 2 times. 

He has played a total of three seasons in the Premier League and made 78 appearances in the process. 

Speaking about his arrival to the blues Adarabioyo said: "Chelsea is a huge club and this is a full-circle moment for me. 

"I was born three miles away from Stamford Bridge and made my professional debut there". I'm very excited and looking forward to helping push the club in the direction we want to go".

The defenders previous clubs include Blackburn Rovers, West Bromwich Albion, and current Premier League champions Manchester City. 

Chelsea were keen on bringing in a defender after the departure of experienced centre back Thiago Silva. With Trevoh Chalobah up for sale and Manchester United also interested, Adarabioyo will be competing with BenoĆ®t Badiashile, Levi Colwill, Axel Disasi and Wesley Fofana for a place  in the heart of the Blues defence.
