Wayne Rooney interested in Plymouth Argyle vacant managerial position
Wayne Rooney is set to have talks with championship side Plymouth Argyle about their vacant managerial role. The Pilgrims finished in 21st place 1 point above Birmingham City and Rooney's former club who were relegated to League One.
Rooney is keen to re-establish his reputation after his spell at Birmingham city where he lost nine games out of the 15 he was in charge of.

Argyle are looking for a new boss after the dismissal of Ian Foster towards the end of last season. Director of football Neil Dewsnip and coach Kevin Nancekivell were forced to step in for the remainder of the campaign to help guide Plymouth to safety.
Rooney made 763 appearances as a player during spells with Everton, Manchester United, MLS club DC United and Derby and moved into coaching in 2020 with the Rams.
He is yet to make his mark in management but will be hoping this is his opportunity. Is this the right move for the former England international?
